Andrew Wiles Building

The Andrew Wiles Building was formally opened on 3rd October 2013.

The Andrew Wiles Building is named after the Oxford professor who proved Fermat's Last Theorem, one of history's most difficult mathematical problems.

A spokesman said the institute was "architecturally sympathetic to the Oxford skyline".

It houses six lecture theatres, 500 mathematical researchers and 900 undergraduates.

The university's mathematicians were previously based at three separate locations.
